Travel Award for ERAU AE D&C Students

We are pleased to offer limited travel awards to support selected ERAU AE D&C students attending the American Control Conference (ACC) in Denver, CO or the European Control Conference (ECC) in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Eligibility: Applicants must be currently enrolled at a U.S.-based institution and have an accepted paper to present at ACC, ECC, or both.

Depending on the availability of funds and application materials, awards may cover conference registration fees, hotel lodging, flights, and per diem. Note: Any expenses not covered by the travel award will be the responsibility of the applicant or their advisor.

These awards aim to broaden participation in professional conferences by supporting students with demonstrated academic merit and financial need. We especially encourage applications from first-time conference attendees, underrepresented minorities, women, and students with disabilities.

Application Instructions

Applications are due by April 15, 2025, at 5:00 PM (ET).

2. Ask your advisor to submit a short letter of support (see details below) with the proof of paper acceptance notifications.

Advisor Letter Guidelines

Each applicant's advisor must email a brief support letter (no more than 10 lines) by April 15, 2025, 5:00 PM (ET). The letter should:

●Confirm the applicant is currently enrolled.

●Confirm they plan to attend ACC or ECC.

●Express support for the applicant’s travel award request.

●Upload Requirement: Please attach a copy of the student’s paper acceptance notification (PDF or screenshot) from ACC, ECC, or both.

Selection Criteria & Notification

Awardees will be selected based on program requirements and financial need. Additional criteria may be considered if the number of applicants exceeds available funding.

Award Notifications 

Decisions will be communicated around April 22nd, 2025.

Important: Travel support will cover only pre-approved expenses. Recipients will receive detailed instructions regarding bookings and reimbursements.
